Scoring access to new ground, staying on your side of the fence, heck, just being a good neighbor,
they’re all important to us as hunters. With parcel data integrated into your DeerCast Map,
you’ve got all the tools you need to plan out a successful season. DeerCast Parcel Data not only includes property lines, but it also includes owner name, tax address, county, and acreage. Parcel Data is a premium feature exclusive to DeerCast Elite, DeerCast Elite+ and DeerCast UNLIMITED subscribers. It’s super simple to use and here’s how.
- First, in DeerCast, navigate to your map by tapping the map button on the lower left side of the
navbar. It looks like the tri-folded map. - Parcel data is considered a layer so your next step is to open the Layers menu. It’s the stacked
squares inside the hex button in the upper right of your map screen. - Tap on Parcels, then close out the layer menu and they’ll be enabled, but depending on your zoom level, may not be visible.
- To keep all the property lines from obscuring your map, they’ve been set to display once you hit
that 2,000 feet and in zoom levels, and they’ll display across all of your DeerCast Map versions:- Satellite
- Topographical
- Terrain.
- To find out more about a piece of ground, just tap on it to reveal the reported tax owner
information and GPS coordinates. Pull the modal up higher to reveal acreage and the county it’s
located in.
The parcel layer cooperates with all the other layers to give you context for where you are on your
ground relative to the property line. You can even choose to include parcel data when you
download your offline maps.
