How do I use Wind Check?

How to Check Wind Data using DeerCast Wind Check

1. To check your wind, just navigate the map to the location, and tap the tools button. It’s the plus sign in the hexagon on the right side of your screen.
2. Then tap Wind Check. You’ll see a custom scent animation indicating the wind direction moving at the forecasted speed. The wind direction and speed are also shown in the upper left corner of the map.
3. Tap the Info button next to wind speed to get more detailed information on how your wind behaves and more importantly, how it affects deer movement.

Please note that DeerCast is a tool meant to augment your skills and knowledge. The human brain is still the best weapon for killing a whitetail. For example, the Wind Check data doesn’t factor in the effect of topography or thermals. You’ll need to keep that in mind as you interpret what Wind Check is showing you. Wind Check lets you see winds all the way out to five days by using the time slider at the bottom of
the screen. This chart will also show additional meteorological data.
